Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Malang or Surabaya to Bromo Hotel

Our staff will pick you up from your hotel, airport, or train station in either Surabaya or Malang (please inform us where we should meet you). From there, we drive to the Mount Bromo area by private air-conditioned vehicle for approximately 3–4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

During the trip, you may ask the driver to stop for a public toilet break or at a local restaurant for meals, coffee, or tea. Upon arrival in the Bromo area, we will escort you to your hotel for an overnight stay before continuing the trip the next morning.

Optional tour program (extra cost):
If time and weather permit, you may enjoy an optional visit to Madakaripura Waterfall.

Day 02: Bromo Sunrise Tour and Drive to Ijen Crater Hotel

Wake up early at around 03:30 AM. A jeep will be ready in front of your hotel to begin the Bromo sunrise tour. You will head to one of the viewpoints in the Tengger region to witness sunrise over Mount Bromo with Mount Semeru in the background. Possible sunrise viewpoints include:

• Mount Pananjakan / Gunung Penanjakan – the most popular and classic Bromo sunrise viewpoint.
• King Kong Hill / Bukit King Kong – a good alternative, especially during weekends and holidays.
• Love Hill / Bukit Cinta – another alternative viewpoint with beautiful panoramic scenery.

After enjoying the sunrise and the scenery of Mount Bromo, around 08:00 AM we return to the hotel for breakfast, shower, and packing. We then continue the trip to the Ijen Crater area for approximately 5–7 hours by private vehicle.

During the drive, the route passes through small towns, rice fields, plantations, beaches, and rural landscapes. Lunch can be taken at a local restaurant along the way. By late afternoon or early evening, we arrive at your hotel in the Ijen area for overnight stay.

If time and weather permit, you may enjoy water rafting.

Day 03: Relaxation or Optional Banyuwangi Exploring Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, today is a more relaxed day. You may spend the day enjoying your own program around the hotel area, or choose an optional tour to explore Banyuwangi.

Optional tour program (extra cost):
If the weather is good, you may join optional activities such as:

• Banyuwangi water rafting
• Baluran National Park tour

Overnight stay remains in the Ijen area.

Day 04: Ijen Crater Tour and Drop Off in Banyuwangi

At around 00:30–01:00 AM, we leave the hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to Paltuding Post, the starting point for the Ijen crater hike.

02:00 – 06:00 > Prepare for the hike and begin climbing to the top of Mount Ijen. Upon arrival at the crater rim, you can observe:

• the Milky Way (weather permitting)
• the famous blue fire phenomenon
• sunrise over the crater
• the green sulfur lake

If conditions allow and with your request, we may descend closer to the crater edge to see the blue fire more clearly.

06:00 – 10:00 > Descend via the same route back to Paltuding base camp, then return to the hotel for breakfast, shower, and short rest.

10:00 – 12:00 > Around 10:00 AM (or by the latest 12:00 PM), we leave your accommodation and transfer you to your requested drop-off point in Banyuwangi, such as:

• ferry port
• airport
• bus station
• hotel
• other places in Banyuwangi

At this point, our Bromo Ijen tour service is completed.
